About Us

Craig Homes Development was born out of the experiences of the past 20 years and the passion BJ has for building and working with clients in Palmerston North, to bring their dreams to life whether it be a new build or renovation project.

How CHD started

Business owners BJ and Rebecca Craig, along with their four children, took the plunge and started Craig Homes Development in 2020.

BJ has worked in the construction scene for over 20 years, starting his building career in Hawkes Bay under the guidance of Morgan Builders. He has worked in a number of firms including doing voluntary building work in Colombia.

In 2011 he made the move to Palmerston North and married Rebecca. The following years have included the arrival of four amazing children, ongoing involvement in All Saints Church and more experience gained in working in the commercial sector for Colspec Construction. BJ then moved back into the residential building scene and gained a Level 4 Supervision qualification with BCITO.

Team

Craig Homes Development is a big believer in staff training and development. We recognise that investing in our staff is crucial to creating a team that continues to strive for excellence in our work. We believe that good culture produces great outcomes and so we work hard creating a good working environment for our staff, sub trades and ultimately our clients.

Community

We belive in the importance of giving back to our community and one way we achieve this is by rolling up our sleeves every three months and donating blood though the NZ Blood Team Red initiative. It is a great feeling knowing that we are helping save lives!
